I just saw a Hanes underwear commercial with Michael Jordan and Charlie Sheen incorporating a great deal of high-five / fist-bump confusion. I've been there. But this! This is a change we can all believe in. Uniformity of hand gestures. Perhaps it could be our unique national salute. The Frenchies have the palm out (my personal favorite), the Nazis had the Heil, even the boyscout nation has their unblossomed peace sign. Why not a light fist-bump to the skull as ours? But then I think our open palm suffices, really. The fist bump cannot generate audible expression so eloquently as the timeless classics do.
